Seven members of the Academy took part in a demo at the Cherry Hinton Festival in September. We were lucky that it was a warm and sunny day - although perhaps a little hot for the cannists wearing full protective gear.

The Academy has worked in partnership with the Cambridge City Council Sports Development team for many years, particularly supporting the CitySport programme.  To celebrate the London 2012 Open Weekend, the City Council opened the Corn Exchange to the public, offering a range of free sports and arts taster sessions.

Cambridge Academy Senior Instructors, Ollie Batts and Julie Gabriel were honoured with a surprise presentation as the club celebrated its 20th birthday on 1st July 2009. Ollie and Julie set up the club in 1989 and have since worked tirelessly to help their students develop and to promote the core values and diversity that martial arts offer.

Nine members of the Academy took part in a demo at Milton Summer Fair on Saturday 11th July. The team showed skills and exercises from Savate, Canne de Combat and Kali/Eskrima.
